As Arcadia's Mayor, it is a pleasure for me to personally extend a cordial welcome to you as you visit the Town of Arcadia's website.  We hope you enjoy your visit and that you find the site to be helpful.

Arcadia has a proud heritage and a reputation of achieving a good balance of quality economic development and superior public services while maintaining that friendly small town atmosphere.  Arcadia is an excellent place to live, work, or visit.  It is a town rich with history and poised for the future; a town with established traditions and high expectations.

Arcadia has a broad commercial base with businesses ranging from the small to very large;  from Ingram's Barber College and D & J Tire Service to House of Raeford, Haynes International and Graphic Packaging.  The town sits in the middle of the timber, oil and gas, and chicken industries.  Downtown Arcadia has seen a resurgence in popularity with the growth of many antique shops and a once-a-month Bluegrass Show and the Bonnie and Clyde Trade Days show (under new management) continues to bring hundreds of people from the surrounding communities into the area every month.

At the risk of sounding like I'm bragging, we have a beautiful, challenging eighteen hole golf course; two museums; a large ball complex; several well kept town parks; and five major restaurants.

As the Mayor of Arcadia I believe in fostering an atmosphere that encourages excellence in all public services.  Arcadia is a town with great pride and high standards.  By working together, we - the City Council, city staff and residents - will keep our community a truly special place to call home.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.  We will be glad to help you and we're here to serve you.

Best regards,

Eugene Smith | Mayor
